The Centre
Queens Park New Media Centre (QPNMC) is a community-focused digital arts training provision, which offers a range of ICT and digital arts courses.
Our mission is to promote lifelong learning through the provision of excellence in digital arts training.
Our programmes promote creativity within a supportive and dynamic environment. Courses range from Animated Web Design to Music Visualisation.
QPNMC students are as diverse as the creative work that they produce. It does not matter if you are a complete beginner or a computer whiz as the courses are targeted at all levels and experiences, and taught by a team of experienced and dedicated tutors who make learning straightforward and enjoyable.
Our History
QPNMC was piloted in 1998 thanks to an innovative partnership between Hayward's Property Services and The Institute of Contemporary Art (ICA). With just a few PC's in a vacant room in the local estate office and a team of digital artists supplied by the ICA, QPNMC was born.
Since then QPNMC moved first to a disused former Police Shop and then to The Beethoven Centre where it is based today. Over this time the project has evolved from it's original youth focus to providing a wide range of digital art courses, accessible to all members of the community.
